Semi-Private Training -- The Service You Need

There are tons of fitness options on the market: old school gyms, 24 hour fitness, Crossfit, Orange Theory, F45, Barry's Bootcamp, Pilates, Yoga, Camp Gladiator, Kickboxing, Soul Cycle, FlyWheel, and group classes at places like Life Time Fitness, YMCA, Gold's Gym, Equinox. Then of course there is personal training.

That's quite the spectrum of services offered.

On one end, self-guided anxiety workouts
On the other, one on one personal training.
In the middle, churn and burn group classes

Something that worries me in group classes is the lack of proper movement and instruction. Sometimes those coaches are there JUST to entertain and look the part, other times they are good coaches, but when there are 40 people with 15 different stations, it's hard AF (if not impossible) to give proper coaching.

But they provide some benefits: community, some guidance, you sweat, and it's not super expensive.

Personal training on the other of the spectrum can be prohibitively expensive -- from 80 to 150 per session. That's cool if you can afford it, but what if you can't AND the other fitness options out there don't work for you. What if you've got a bum knee? Have scoliosis? Have a bad back? And any time you go to a big group fitness class, you end up feeling hurt and beat up.

So then you are kind of in this no man's land. You try going to the gym on your own. You don't know what to do. You have a previous injury. You do some research on ways to work around injury, but are scared you're doing it wrong.

You don't know what to do on your own, group classes don't work, personal training is too expensive

What can be done to bridge that gap? Is there an offering that provides the workout, that helps you reach your goals, that provides community (and that doesn't injure you or leave you feeling burnt out).

ENTER SEMI PRIVATE TRAINING

Semi-private training is small group private training that checks all the boxes of what you're looking for in a fitness service -- a great workout, great coaching, like-minded community, and at an affordable cost!

It is a new service I am providing at Praxis Strength -- a gym I rent space from in Buena Vista neighborhood of Nashville.

In Semi-Private, I'll lead a group of no more than 4 people through a warm up, pair you up, and give you each individualized workouts based on your goals. Your workouts will be

  • geared toward your goals

  • high quality and attentive coaching,

  • provide instant feedback and correction,

  • provide a good community experience,

  • and probably (some) entertainment.

I'm excited to provide this service. It fills a much needed gap in the fitness space. The gap where people:

  • don't want to run themselves ragged,

  • who want quality coaching,

  • who knows gaining strength takes more than 20 pound dumbbells,

  • who knows consistent program leads to growth,

  • who knows random circuits just fry your nervous system and leave you more stressed,

  • who wants supportive community and accountability

I'd love for you to join semi-private sessions. To get on the schedule, shoot me an email strengthcoachsam@gmail.com . I'd love to get you set up!!
